Graffiti on the wall
This simple message is on route from the train station to Old Trafford, Manchester United’s football stadium
Unfinished/abondened apartments in Jerusalem. I was in Israel with work and was lucky enough to have a friend working in Palestine. I visited him for a weekend and got a great tour of Jerusalem and the surronding area.
I was travelling to Israel with work and had a few hours stopover in Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport in France. It’s a very spacious, airy airport with quiet a cool roof.
A boat by Ashford Castle. Everyone else was snapping away at the castle, I like to hunt around beyond the obvious.
Andy Wahrol-Screamadelica collage
Famous line that make the hairs on many a middle aged person stand on their ends- “Just what is it that you want to do? We wanna be free. We wanna be free to do what we wanna do. And we wanna get loaded. And we wanna have a good time.”
Screamadelica, the iconic album from Scottish rockers Primal Scream is rated by many in the top 10 albums of all time, rated best of all time by Eve Barlow of NME. Screamadelica is the third studio album by Primal Scream, released in 1991 by Creation Records. For me, it’s an uplifting, euphoric journey of love and joy, an album that you can’t but dance to and feel invigorated and have a smile plastered on your face.
The album was produced by Andrew Weatherall and without his influence would have been a much different album.
In this Andy Warhol Screamadelica collage I created what I think would have been a great poster or flyer for a Primal Scream concert.
Walking through Stuttgart, Germany I looked up and liked the contrast of the old building and the new architecture
Some funky lighting at Dublin Airport. A few people stopped and looked at my wondering why I was taking a photo of the ceiling…
Post title is the debut album title from Interpol, a band with some fantastic and some meeeeehh songs
According to legend is that the Angel is going to blow her horns when the world is going to end. In 1999 both her horns were stolen during construction work, causing understandable confusion: how would the Corkonians learn about the end of the world now.
You are my angel
Come from way above
To Bring me love…
I had a number of (song) titles that I’d like to use for this picture, including Alone in Kyoto, Empty Rooms, Isolation.
These massive oil containers are in Galway Docks. The area is now surrounded by apartments. There’s talk about moving the containers due to health and safety issues (explosion…)
Some pictures from wandering around Galway Docks (sounds seedy, doesn’t it?). It’s a great place for photographing I think- lots of colour, boats old and new, water etc.
This is my attempt of a rough copy of ‘Heaven or Las Vegas’, a dreamy album by The Cocteau Twins. The technique is called ‘camera throwing’, literally throwing your camera in the air on a slightly long exposure.
