The Galway Christmas Market opens again this weekend and runs from Friday 22nd November until Sunday 22nd December 2013 in Eyre Square. It promises to be a great day out for the family.

So Christmas is just around the corner…
Since I bought a Dslr most birthday and Christmas presents have been camera related. It’s how I’ve managed to get some nice lenses but there’s always one more to get isn’t there? A macro and proper wide angle for me maybe. Oh, and upgrade my camera from a K-7 to a K-5….and a decent ND filter. Once I have them (two years of presents about) I’m sure there’ll be another one that I think I’d like. Like maybe a Fujifilm X10.
Maybe if I won the lottery or if I won a loadofmoney on some online live casino that would let me buy the lenses I want and then some more.
I look forward to the time when my presents aren’t dominated by camera items in a way.

2010 was the first year that The Galway Christmas Market were hosted and were a roaring success for Galway. Trade increased, it added an festive event to Galway’s event calendar. These photos show some of the workers who brace the cold every night for a month.

I think collages are very simple to make but look impressive. You don’t need to have any great photos but they give a great overview of a story or the atmosphere of an event.
I think I might use this for any Christmas cards we (by we I mean my wife) send out this year.
